System 1: Web Server Based

Service calls assigned to technicians using the Field Service module are uploaded to a web server.  The techs download their service calls for the day and update them as calls are completed.  Data entry includes parts, service explanations, charges, images and payment information.  A customer receipt is printed or emailed while on site plus the customer’s signature captured when using a touch screen or signature pad.  All that is needed is a Windows tablet, notebook or laptop computer with internet service at the beginning and end of the day.  This means techs can work anywhere with the Field Service module.

System 2: Office Server Based

Service Attendant will connect to a web enabled server and share data available to other computers on the same network.  This system gives field techs, and remote office staff, access to all program areas allowed by the system administrator and real-time updating of records.   It works with Microsoft SQL Server, and the “SQL Server Express” version, which is free and well suited to small and medium size business operation.  SQL Server must be installed on a server computer in your office, or on a “cloud” hosted server, plus a client version installed on each workstation.
