Web Server Based
Service calls assigned to technicians
using the "Scheduler" are uploaded to the web server. Techs in the
field download their service calls at the start of the day thenthat
update them, including parts and payment information, and print
or email the customer a receipt on site. All that is needed is a
Windows tablet, notebook or laptop computer and an internet connection
which only needs to be active at the beginning and end of the day.
This means technicians can operate anywhere in the field without
being dependant on an internet connection.
The
system above is suitable for areas with, and without, wireless
internet service.
Office Server
Based
Service Attendant can be installed on a Windows
tablet, notebook or laptop computer and
run as a stand alone program or be connected to a server and share
the data available to other computers on the network. This system
gives field techs access to all program areas allowed by the system
administrator. Using a computer connected to the office server via
the internet, records are updated in real-time, payments received
and the customer provided with a receipt by email, or printout.
This system requires a good wireless internet connection to work
properly.
